Summer is upon us. it is the time of year where temperatures spike and humidity fills the air. Because of this fact, it is ever so important to have a few go-to scents stashed away to accompany you on those hot days, because believe me, scent matters!
While I was shopping the other day, i stopped in to meet a friend for coffee. on my way out, I gave him a hug. a few hours later, I got a text from him asking, "What is that scent? I can't get it out of my brain." Yes, scent can be ever-so-powerful, and since men are sensory creatures, take note in my 'top three most complemented aromas' and stash these babies in your purse!
Yves Saint Laurent's newest perfume, Parisienne, is a very classy yet young perfume. With notes of cranberry, Damascus rose, delicate violet, fresh peony, patchouli, vetiver, musk and sandalwood, it is anything but your mother's scent. Think of it as an updated classic. This is a scent that can go from day to night, but I use it mostly during the day.
Fleurs Blanches perfume, by L'Aromarine, is a lovely and inexpensive scent that has been imported from France. It reminds me of summer lilacs blooming. Packed with notes of bergamont, lemon, lily and honeysuckle, you'll feel as if you have strolled through a beautiful garden. I recommend this fragrance for day wear.
Lolita Lempicka, the original, which smells like nothing else on the market, is my go-to perfume for a night on the town. It has notes of licorice, iris, vanilla and ivy leaves. I love to pair this with the vanilla sandalwood lotion you can find at Victoria's Secret. It makes an amazing layering pair.
I highly suggest that each and every one of you seek these scents out, as you will not be disappointed! A great place to purchase these on the cheap are amazon and ebay.
Enjoy the summer and remember to define it by your scent, and not by the scents that surround us!
