The men have bitched, er have requested that I run down a list of hot, cold-blooded, female vamps for their reading pleasure. As I’m not inclined in that direction of appreciating the female form, this took some time (questioning all the guys I know as to which blood-sucking she-vamp they would like to have bite them).
Let’s do this thing!
1. Kate Beckinsale from Underworld’s 1, 2, and 3 as Selene. I have to hand it to Kate. She looks awesome in tight black leather. Pale skin and fangs just make her more beautiful. I hate her!
2. Sadie Frost who played Lucy Westrenra in the 1992 version of Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Lucy was the friend of Wynona Ryder’s character Mina Murray that succumbed to being undead before her wedding. She was the white skinned, red-headed undead bride that was about to eat a baby before she was staked! Sadie Frost is the ex wify of Jude Law, and the first woman he supposedly publicly cheated on. What a dipstick. She’s a beauty!
3. Monica Bellucci, Michaela Bercu, and Florina Kendrick. These lovelies played the three brides of Dracula in Stoker’s Dracula. Gary Oldman couldn’t have asked for more with this trio of freaky biters. But he did, greedy bastard! He had Monica Bellucci and he wanted Wynona Ryder? Que? I’m confused, and so are a few of my male readers. Oh well, there’s no accounting for taste from the undead!
4. Aaliyah from Queen of the Damned. As Queen Akasha, the oldest female vamp and mother of them all, Aaliyah rocked the barely there Egyptian outfits with her smokin’ hot body. Sadly, her rising stardom in movies (from great music) was cut short when her life was lost to a plane crash. Still, no one can take away her wickedly sexy performance in Anne Rice’s screen adapted novel along side Stuart Townsend (as Lestat). Remember how she would say his name? Le….STAT! She meant it!
5. Okay, same movie (Queen of the Damned) also put forth a cougar-hot Lena Olin as Maharet. Maharet was a good she-vamp who spent her immortality looking out for her family over the centuries. It was she, alone, who drank in the last drop of Akasha’s blood to save humanity from being slaughtered as cattle. Even after she turned into stone, she was still ethereally beautiful.
6. Jewish folklore has produced the tale of Lilith, the daughter of Dracula (Vlad the Impaler). Yes, he reproduced! This idea was expanded on in Marvel comic books in 1974 where they introduced Lilith’s story to world in Tomb of Dracula. She was the first to rock the black leather outfit. Her mother, Vlad’s wife, gave birth to her. Later, her father kicked the mother and child out of the castle. The baby was given to Gypsy’s who raised her, and later put a curse on her to become a day-walking vampire whose sole purpose in the world was to destroy her father. Interesting stuff. (The Jewish people started this? Wow!)

7. Soledad Miranda who played Countess Nadine Carody (1971) in Vampyros Lesbos. The title should give it away. Countess Nadine is the sole owner of the estate of Count Dracula of Hungary (a direct descendant) and she visits the dreams of Ewa Stromberg who played Linda Westinghouse, a lawyer. The naughty, blood-sucking Countess seduces and makes love to the lovely Linda in her dreams, enticing and manipulating her to come to Anatolia to handle a matter of inheritance. But she wants more than Linda’s body. She wants her blood! It’s all biting and boobs in this one! Definitely appealing to the male population.
8. Jennifer Esposito as Solina in Dracula 2000. Gerard Butler wasn’t the only scene-stealing hottie in this flick. Esposito played the evil she-vamp well, if not briefly on screen.

Michelle, what cheating against Sadie? Jude didn't cheat on Sadie...however, Sadie cheated on her first husband, Gary Kemp, whom she already had a child with, with Jude. Maybe that's what you're thinking about *snort* If you think he cheated with Sienna on Sadie, guess what, Sadie already had her boytoy moved in by the Jude met Sienna, right before their divorce was granted.
It's tiresome and lame that Jude ALWAYS gets lambasted for his so-called "cheating," while everybody else's gets forgotten, when he's the only man who's ever apologized (for his one known time against Sienna). So smoke that.
Yeah, big bad mean monster Jude! Whew!
And coincidentally, I saw Dracula for the first time last night on free movie channel. I had to fast forward, it was a dreadful movie, and Sadie didn't help at all. I'm being very objective, I really wanted it to be good, since she hasn't had that many movies, and since I think it's admirable that she and Jude get along as very good friends after their divorce, even taking vacations and spending holidays together with the kids...but she was just dreadful. I finally just turned it off.
There were definitely allegations of cheating by Law during his marriage to Frost. One of them was with Nicole Kidman during their filming of Cold Mountain, which Kidman absolutely denied. I happen to enjoy his acting, and won't hold it against him, but it has been proven that he's a cheater. Yes, on Sienna Miller with the nanny. I'm sure he's not the "only" man to ever apologize for cheating. Newsflash, they almost always do. It doesn't mean they weren't wrong, or that they won't do it again. And once a cheater, it's difficult to ever trust them again.
I'm aware of the "allegations" regarding Nicole, she denied, won damages, Sadie also denied it, it was in print. Why talk about something that didn't happen? There were also "allegations" regarding Nicole and Ewan McGregor, which they both denied, too. Or did Nicole %&@$! all her married costars? I don't believe in "gossip," and I believe it's unfair to spread it. And if you're going the "once a cheater, always a cheater" route, Sadie is a cheater, too. She cheated on Gary Kemp, perhaps she cheated on Jude? Sienna cheated on Jude with Daniel Craig. Sienna cheated on Rhys Ifans with Getty (then dumped him by phone while Rhys thought they were getting married). But actually, I don't believe in "once a cheater, always a cheater." I believe when things are really right, cheating isn't likely. Jude/Sienna weren't right, and I'm glad they're not together...should have ended long before it did...dragged out too long. But Sienna admitted in a recent interview that she loved the attention.
