Sexy perfume, modish pet products and exhilarating destinations took flight to Los Angeles for the Golden Globes gifting suites.
While award seasons come and go in Los Angeles, stylish products are here to stay at GBK’s luxury gift lounge. The special events company held their Golden Globe event at the L’Ermitage Beverly Hills, benefitting City of Hope and Lambda Legal. Poolside at the glamorous hotel, RevitaLash color and conditioning products, Vita Organic Foods raw chocolate and performance bars, and Toy State motorized lights and sound vehicles were making a splash!
The penthouse of the eco-friendly L’Ermitage was overflowing with jewels, plush toys and über-hip products. Shemar Moore, Jeff Daniels and “Grey’s Anatomy” star Sarah Drew were a few of the celebrities in the house. Lucky guests went home with a one-of-a-kind imported stuffed horse or colorful zebra from Beanpatch & Co., a luxury timepiece from Egard Watch Company, one of four California wines from Newman’s Own Wines, and Essilor of America, Inc. gifted premium polarized sunwear with no-glare Crizal UV lenses (lookout celebs, you’ll never want to lay eyes on another lens again!). The Artisan Group gifted an abundance of jewelry, spa and bath products and other unique gifts such as fashionable clutches from Girl by Aileen, whimsical jewelry from Fotini Designs, power bead bracelets from Energy Shop Jewelry, yummy bath products from Bubbles Bath Boutique, and Rotem Limited Edition women’s tunics.
Award nominees and VIPs weren’t the only ones who made out at the gifting suite. Four-legged critters scored too! SmartSilk – all-natural bedding products – presented gift cards for their new Paws n’ Silk pet bedding and apparel line. Their 3-Bolster Travel Bed and super suave raincoat were just a couple of the allergen-resistant products on display. Paws up for the Canadian company…medium and large sizes are available so bigger breeds aren’t left out in the cold!!
The first floor of the 5-star hotel was also over-flowing with GBK sponsors…and who better to greet guests than a furry little canine leading the way to Couture by Sophie, custom-made collections for dogs (that give back). Other must-haves included an infrared blow dryer from Jośe Eber Hair, Séxūal Fleur parfum spray by Michel Germain, Tweezerman beauty tools, and an eco-friendly, hip Jetson E-Bike! Caribbean Living Magazine was also present gifting hotel stays, such as a 4-night stay at Seven Stars Resort in Turks & Caicos. To top off the excitement, massage therapists from Burke Williams Day Spa were on hand to massage weary muscles! And VIP guests received their exclusive H2V Skin Care Regime, a $500 value.
Not too far from the L’Ermitage, Secret Room Events presented a Caribbean-style retreat at the SLS Hotel at Beverly Hills. Benefiting To Write Love on Her Arms, Secret Room played host to an array of fashionable products for babies and adults. Camila Banus from “Days of Our Lives”, Amber Riley from “Glee”, and Jackson Pace from “Homeland” were in attendance… but the real star in the room was none other than Betty Boop! “Boopabilia” included playing cards, pens and vintage tees, all a huge hit with the guests. Betty’s “secret”? Schwarzkopf professional hair care no doubt! The European company graced the lounge with their fabulous Osis + products which included FREEZE, Magic and Fiber Light, as well as BC Time Restore Q10 Plus shampoo and conditioner.
Other fab finds included Dressed ‘n-Case cover-ups (it’s a bag, wait it’s a dress), Vita Liberata tanning products, glamorous barrettes, headbands and ponytail holders from The Finest Accessories Inc., organic skincare from Indigena, beauty products from Lulu Blossom, and high-quality pet supplements from Pet Health Labs.
From Massachusetts came knock-out earrings, necklaces, bracelets and rings from Lita Sea Glass Jewelry, made from genuine sea glass washed up from the shore. And we can’t leave out the lone star state. Beautifying the room was Shany Cosmetics, the Texas-based environmentally-friendly company whose cosmetics are bigger and better in quality and price.
Kiddos got pampered as well at the Secret Room. SnoozeShade brought their award-winning sun and sleep shades for strollers and car seats. And Born 4 Couture graced the lounge with their sassy children’s line which included dresses, leggings and snazzy tees! What began as a lifesaving mission, led to the launch of this haute children’s line that’s all about giving back.
There’s no sneaking into a gifting suite…however, your four-legged friend might be able to get away with it in a sporty airline-approved pet carrier by Teafco. The ARGO line comes in an array of colors such as Petal Pink and Kiwi Green. If security doesn’t let you in, you know what to say…“ARGO #@&% yourself!”
