According to a Feb. 2 report from MMARising.com, sexy MMA starlet Jordan Nicole Gaza submitted Kathina Catron with a delicious rear-naked choke at XFL’s Xtreme Fight Night 11: Road To Glory in Catoosa, Oklahoma, for her first pro victory.
Gaza came close to earning the ref stoppage in the opening frame, as she sunk in a rear-naked choke in the waning seconds of the round. She was forced to let go as time expired.
Gaza picked up right where she left off when action resumed in the second stanza, putting her opponent on the mat with a brilliant trip takedown.
It was all Gaza once the action hit the mat, as Catron turned and gave up her back, allowing "Ninja Princess" the chance to sink in a rear-naked choke to put an end to the fight.
Despite the loss, Catron is still expected to compete on the upcoming Invicta FC 5 card in April. As for Gaza, she's expecting to fight at least two more times in 2013.
"Honestly for this fight whatever happens happens," Gaza said prior to the bout against Catron. "I'm confident standing, on the ground, against the cage, on top, on bottom, upside down, whatever! I'm just ready for a battle that ends with my hand being raised!"
Gaza did end up walking away with her hand raised, and earning the 'W' will undoubtedly put her in line for a chance with a top-notch promotion like Invicta FC sometime in the near future.
