On Sunday August 24th, a group of sexy female celebs will be taking the field to fight cancer in an all-star female football tournament, which will be held at the Aviator Sports Center in Brooklyn NY. The Richburg Group is organizing this event, titled “The Good F”. The Good F is a fun, unique fundraising effort benefiting “Stupid Cancer”, a foundation committed to helping young people struggling with cancer.
Ten celebrity females, who are passionate about fighting cancer, will serve as team captains in the tournament. Graciie of “Nick Cannon’s Wild N’ Out and Kaylin Garcia of VH1’s “Love and Hip Hop” are two of the many celebrities, who will be leading the football teams.
Rosa Armstrong, CEO of The Richburg group, spoke about the importance of cancer awareness and prevention saying, “Nowadays young people feel like they are invincible and wouldn’t be affected by cancer so they seldom visit the doctor and get checkups henceforth, they have limited knowledge on cancer.”
Rosa, who works as a registered nurse in the emergency room, is a regular woman who saw a problem and sought out to fix it. Rosa's motivation stems from the untimely death of her younger cousin due to cancer. Despite the sadness this loss caused her, it has motivated Rosa to fight cancer and encourage youth to take preventative measures and increase their awareness.
“You can be afflicted by cancer at any age! I want to bring awareness to people from the ages of 18- 40. Having a young cousin pass away from Cancer at a young age, it motivated me to bring mindfulness to younger people.” said Rosa.
Supporting this event means much more than coming to see celebs hit the field. Event proceeds will be given to the organization, “Stupid Cancer”, so attendees support extends to the fight against cancer. The Good F is here to educate, empower and enlighten the community. Come experience and help us fight stupid cancer.
