Sexy Books: 'Penis Genius: The Best Tips and Tricks For Working His Stick'

After taking the full measure of man in Mastering Your Man from Head to Head, sexpert authors Jordan LaRousse and Samantha Sade get a bit more specific in their latest man-manual for women, new this week from Quiver Books. Penis Genius: The Best Tips and Tricks for Working His Stick begins with this penis premise: "The few inches below a man's belt is the topic of the most intimate -- and occasionally intimidating -- geography class you'll ever take."

Indeed. If your sex education classes and basic anatomy lessons never got into the nitty gritty on the glans penis, urethra, meatus, corona, foreskin, frenulum, shaft, scrotum, perineum and prostate -- much less how to make the most of them in your lovemaking -- then the first chapter alone ("Penis Anatomy: A Pleasure Road Map") will be worth the $17.99 cover price. As in their previous book, LaRousse and Sade pepper their anatomy lessons and sex tips with stats and anecdotes from surveys of readers at their erotica website Oysters & Chocloate about what makes them tick and what tickles their fancy. Don't know what the frenulum even is? Pay attention, because 41 percent of men in a survey conducted for the book said it was their most sensitive spot.

Each chapter is paired with "Lab Work" assignments for getting to know your man's manhood a lot better through scientific experimentation he'll be happy to participate in (how about a 21-day oral sex taste test study to explore how different foods make their way into his semen?), helpfully illustrated with photos of adult film star Lexi Belle dressed in a white lab coat and not much else while she conducts her own studies on an extremely willing test subject (though, surprisingly enough for a book called Penis Genius, we see more of Lexi Belle than we see of him, denied of any full-frontal shots).

The hand-drawn illustrations are more helpful in that regard, detailing the internal and external anatomy involved in male sexual pleasure as well as a catalog of positions for oral and penetrative sex that take size into consideration: Size isn't everything, but, as the authors point out, certain positions are better than others if you have a "Hulk," a "Tall Drink of Water," a "Bubba," a "Mr. Happy," or a "Maverick"  involved.

The authors mix sexy slang with scientific vocabulary throughout the book, addressing their readers in the same casual manner they'd use to talk about sex with their girlfriends, which makes the book both informative and fun: The section on sensational handjobs, for example, makes sly reference to Palmela Handerson.

There's good information about both circumcised and uncut penises, conception, masturbation, male sexual health -- yes, regular ejaculation is good for him -- and even penile alterations, from Prince Albert piercings to genital tattoos and penis enlargement. There are also good sections on sexually transmitted diseases, erectile disfunction, and other penis-related problems that can arise... or fail to rise, as the case may be.

Think you're already a penis genius? Think again: LaRousse and Sade open with a multiple choice quiz that even your man won't be able to ace without finishing the book first.
