Artwork addressing themes of sex, gender, eroticism, reproduction, sexuality, romantic relationships, the politics of sex and gender, the human figure, and sexual health by more than 90 artists will be featured in the 9th annual Kinsey Institute Juried Art Show at Indiana University's Grunwald Gallery of Art in Bloomington. The show will be open Friday May 16 through July 12.

"The Kinsey Institute is so pleased to have this opportunity to collaborate with the Grunwald Gallery each year, as it enables us to accept more artworks and a wider range of media for the exhibition," said Garry Milius, Associate Curator at The Kinsey Institute and organizer of the juried show, in a statement for the gallery.

Opening weekend events include the May 16 reception from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and an after party at The Back Door, as well as a Kinsey Institute open house on Saturday May 17 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. including tours of the Institute's permanent art collection, and a Show & Tell Q&A session, also on Saturday, with many of the featured artists.

The weekend events are being presented in tandem with Indiana University's Summer Festival of the Arts; the university will also be screening Lars Von Trier's film Nymph()maniac Volume I and Volume II throughout the weekend.
