Sexual health headlines at consumer electronics show

Technology and sexual health will merge next week at the 2013 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) as executives from Standard Innovation, makers of the We-Vibe--the first and fastest selling couple's vibrator in the world, will present on how science is enhancing sex and intimacy in the new millennium.

Standard Innovation's participation marks the first time a sexual health company has been asked to speak at the technology mega-conference, taking place Jan. 8 to Jan. 11 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Nev. Each executive from the Canadian-based company will touch on a different facet of how technology is reshaping the future of sexual health and wellness:

  • Sex Never Gets Old Panel, CEO Danny Osadca.
  • Sex in Digital Times Keynote, Director of Business Development, Kendra Novick.
  • Science Meets Sexuality Keynote, Vice President of Product Development, Grant Bechthold.

In addition to speaking, the company's latest product, The Thrill by We-Vibe was recognized by a panel of veteran technology journalists as a Semi-Finalist in the prestigious Last Gadget Standing, another CES first. The annual competition highlights top products that will endure as the digital world continues to change. The Thrill, which was just launched this fall, adapts the unique, "c-shape" ergonomic design of the original We-Vibe couples product for solo play.

Standard Innovation employs professional engineers and industrial designers--some of whom used to make bomb suits and power tools--which now apply the same rigorous advanced technology design processes and testing to the sexual health industry. The company spends millions in research and development, utilizing the same cutting-edge design tools as traditional high tech designers: in-house silicone molding, 3D printing, libraries of more than 400 digital human anatomies and medical mannequins to develop, test and produce a select line of premium products.
