There is a lot going on in the primate world lately, and it includes one that likes women and another that doesn't care for them. A sexist gorilla in Dallas has now been removed from the zoo and Mediate.com reported on Sept. 25, 2013, that a frisky baboon got a little fresh with a reporter on live television.
First of all, Patrick is a 23-year-old, 430-pound Western lowland gorilla who called the Dallas Zoo his home. Well, he's now been given an eviction notice after showing a "sexist" attitude toward the female gorillas in the zoo.
The zoo staff has always loved Patrick, who has now been labeled as the "sexist gorilla." He got along perfectly fine with humans, but would get rather agitated and violent with female gorillas that he intended to mate with. He even bit one of them.
Patrick is being transferred to Riverbanks Zoo and Gardens in Columbia, South Carolina.
Elsewhere, there is a baboon that got a little too hands-on with a reported at the Lodi Grape Festival in California.
Fox 40 reporter Sabrina Rodriguez was reporting on the festival and Mickey the baboon and how much his species loves grapes. Well, as Rodriguez was introducing Mickey, he walked right over, stood over her shoulder, and reached down to invade her privacy by grabbing her breast.
Rodriguez laughed it off and said that he was trying to "cop a feel." She then continued on with he report as the baboon creepily stared into the camera with a wide smile.
