'Sexiest Woman Alive' Mila Kunis dedicated to diet and exercise

Named Esquire's "Sexiest Woman Alive" and FHM's "Sexiest Woman In The World 2013," Mila Kunis may seem like a woman who has nothing to worry about when it comes to her weight.

But, she told Harper's Bazaar, when she had to lose 20 pounds to play a ballerina in "Black Swan," she received a weight gain shocker when she gained it back.

"All the weight that left my chest went to my side hip, my stomach," she told the magazine.

Andrea N. Giancoli, a registered dietitian and spokeswoman for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, told the Today show that redistributed weight isn't uncommon after drastic weight loss (and weight gain).

"What often happens with extreme weight loss and when you lose weight very quickly is that you lose muscle tissue," she says. "Unfortunately, when we gain the weight back, it comes back as fat."

And, as Mila discovered, you can't chose where it comes back.

"Some people store fat in their bellies, others in their thighs or their breasts or their buttocks," she says. "Wherever you typically store fat, you're going to see it go back there."

However, with diet and exercise, Mila succeeded in reshaping her body.

"'I don’t think I ever fully realized what a human body is capable of doing. But I think I was also, in a beautiful way, incredibly naïve," she told Britain's Glamour magaizne.

"I believe in hard work. In self-drive and self-worth," she added. "Your body can do everything and anything, you just have to want to do it."

As for exercise, Mila is "at the gym all the time," according to Fit Sugar. She does cardio, strength training and dance.

In addition, she loves the great outdoors, where she engages in snowboarding and jet-skiing.
