Fact or factoid? It’s not always easy to tell, but here’s today’s installment of what “they” say:
A 2005 survey conducted by Dunkin’ Donuts found a larger percentage of adults indicated they would give up sex before they would give up their coffee than those who would hold on to sex. Those who are serious about their coffee consumption but are serious about their sex life, too, have nothing to worry about. While a British study showed that coffee increased the sex drive of female rats, that fact isn’t especially helpful to humans.
Dr. Diokno of William Beaumont Hospital in Michigan did find:
The consumption of at least one cup of coffee per day was significantly associated with a higher prevalence of sexual activity in women and with a higher potency rate in men.
