'Sex Rehab with Dr. Drew': One-on-one with Amber Smith (Video)

Chasing men who resemble her father, and aching for love and direction in her life, Amber Smith talks to Dr. Drew Pinsky about the guilt that she harbors regarding the death of her alcoholic father.   Amber is also a recovering alcoholic and drug addict.

Her father left when she was three years old and Amber says that she feels unworthy of love. She looks back at how glamorous she felt that her father was and how she wanted his attention so badly.

She feels that she is somehow responsible for her father's death and shares her guilt and pain. Dr. Drew emphasizes how important it is that Amber understand that her father's death was not her fault.

He tells her that it is important that she find forgiveness for herself and that her addiction is what is feeding her guilt. In this one-on-one clip from "Sex Rehab with Dr. Drew," she reflects back to time in her past she spent with her father at the end of his life, while she was still actively using drugs and he was heavily drinking

Official VH1 Bio: Amber Smith: Actress/Model -   Amber started modeling as a teenager and has appeared on the covers of countless magazines including Vogue, Elle, Cosmopolitan, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, Esquire and Marie Claire. She was also on the cover of the March 1995 issue of Playboy. Amber is a recovering drug addict, who used to use sex as a means to get drugs. Her sex addiction only fully emerged once she got her drug and alcohol use under control. She went through rehab on Celebrity Rehab, and then relapsed in Sober House, engaging in promiscuous behavior fueled by alcohol. Amber is a love and sex addict who stalks men resembling her father, and is desperate to break the cycle.
