Kari Ann Peniche's time may have just run out as episode 7 will bring her face-to-face with a behavioral contract. Also this week, the patients prepare to return to the world outside of the Pasadena Recovery Center as they are asked to start thinking about maintaining their recovery.

- Sex Rehab Day 17:   The work has been incredibly draining to the patients. Putting their plans into action is overwhelming and people are feeling confused and panicked.  Even though they are dying to graduate in a few days, this also brings up a variety of emotions--it is terrifying to think of returning to the "real world," maintaining recovery, and continuing their process outside of the center.

Kendra woke up this morning feeling that she couldn’t wait to go home and drink. Chatting with Phil she confesses that she wants to "get wasted." Phil comforts her, reminding her that there a lot to take in, a lot is going on for her. Take it easy. She says that she's afraid that she will "fail" and thinks that when she walks out, if her life "hasn’t changed" like everyone else's, she has somehow failed everyone. "It is a lot of pressure." Phil tells her that she has probably changed more than she even knows.

Dr. Drew explains that Kari Ann has been verbally abusive to the staff and although they have tried to give her the room to "engage in treatment" at her own pace, the time to draw the big fat red line in rehab has come. Staff have her sign a behavioral contract in which she agrees to follow all of the rules or be kicked out. Resident tech, Shelly, checking in with Dr. Drew and Jill, says that the report from last night regarding Kari Ann was that she was not taking direction from staff regarding the telephone, and this morning when Shelly tried to wake her…she didn’t get up. If she misses group this morning, she will be out.

Time to go to group…

Shelly - Kari Ann?

Kari Ann?

Everyone's already gone to group…

Kari Ann - What?  Are you serious?

-Yes, cause it 9:15…

Yawn.

GROUP TIME:  The group assembles and in agitated unison ask, "Where's Kari Ann?" (Sleeping)  A few days away from graduation, patients are beginning to think about their aftercare plans and any unresolved issues that they may have. Dr. Drew explains that there will be specific recommendations made to the patients when they leave regarding addiction and recovery, but that they will need to also think of their own plan.

Jennie is terrified: "Where do porn stars go when they die?" (Amber chimes in "and models…") She thinks… film school? Jill affirms that creative expression is good.  Please read Jennie's gorgeous blog @Becoming Jennie and see her art at Jennie Art.

Kendra again brings up how she feels that she's just started. This is merely the beginning of something for her. She wants to go home and drink. It's overwhelming to feel that others have gone through major work and she's at the start of her process. Please visit Meet the Rossi's and listen to Kendra Jade sing Ode to my Family (Noel Hogan/Delores O'Riordan).  Beautiful.

Amber opens up with the group about the loss of her father and the guilt that she carries with her to this day about their relationship in its final days. She explains that her dad had tried to reconcile with her through the years, and he did. When she was 28-29 years old he came out to Los Angeles. Amber paid for his hotel room, but never saw him. She was deep into her own addiction, she says. He called her and told her that he had started drinking again, because he was so "disappointed" that she did not see him and she underscores this fact saying, "I'm sure he was.." disappointed... but  Dr. Drew points out that this gave him a good excuse to drink and made her responsible for his alcoholism at his death.

He died a year later. She says that she thought that he had rejected her, but he went off to do drugs. It wasn’t like she rejected him... And, this time she was off doing her own drugs, which is a reversal of her situation with her father.  Dr. Drew shares that he is planning to bring Amber's mother in to help her better understand her relationship with her father.

Next up:  Will Kari Ann make it to group?  Late?  At all?

Official VH-1 Episode 7 Description:  As rehab nears the 21-day mark, it seems that Kari Ann is still not with the program. When Shelly wakes her up for group Kari Ann turns over and promptly goes back to sleep, breaking yet another rehab rule. During group Dr. Drew directs the patients to look forward to life outside rehab. Penny discusses the possibility of leaving porn, and Amber shares her guilt over her father's death with the group. Kendra, anxious about leaving rehab, confesses that she feels like she's barely started the work and is basically at the point where she's cut open an artery and all she has is a band-aid. Drew and Jill assure her that rehab was just the beginning of a long journey.

If Kari Ann had wanted help so badly she would have participated in groups and not laid in bed all day. She was a clear distraction to others that were there to get help and I was glad she didn't get away with her childish crap anymore
