Advancing age is a benefiting factor in having great sex. In fact, most couples who’ve been together for long years will tell you that with time sex has gotten far better than in their early years together, and we’re not just talking about couples in their 40s, 50s or 60s, but couples in their 70s, 80s and older. If you doubt this or if you’re a senior citizen and not having the best sex ever rethink and find out why.
Most women actually become more orgasmic as they age and that may even be into their ninth decade. That’s one major reason that sex gets better with age. Other factors that make sex better as we age is that we learn with time what is most pleasing to our partner and ourselves. Communication and trust grow with time so we feel more confident sharing our likes and needs to our partner. We learn to read our mates body language so we further sense his or her pleasures, hotspots and occasional turn offs. Most of all as we get older and our priorities change we find more free time for each other; especially as the kids leave home and we approach retirement. When we were young a quickie took us about 15 minutes or less, after time a quickie will be anything less than 45 minutes and having an hour or more of intimacy will likely be routine; an hour eagerly looked forward by both of you. And if you happen to be one of those who still wonder if us old folks still do it, the answer is “probably more often than you youngsters!” The big difference is that we may take a little more time to get turned on … but on the other hand we probably take more time to get turned back off.
