Fans of "Sex and the City" need not be disappointed: there is a sequel coming to the 2008 movie based on the popular HBO show of the same name, and filming is currently going on in New York City.
Plot details about this new installment in the "Sex and the City" franchise are still relatively unknown, but we do know that the studio plans to release the next installment around the start of the summer movie season in May 2010. Certainly there will be some drama between Sarah Jessica Parker's Carrie Bradshaw and Chris Noth's Mr. Big, but one can ever be too sure.
To this point, filming for "Sex and the City 2" (as it is being currently called) has went off without too many hitches; however, due to an immense presence of diehard fans on the New York City streets extra security is around to keep Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kim Cattrall safe. (Kristin Davis is the only one of the four stars that has yet to be seen on-set.)

I can't wait until this comes out! That's crazy about the extra security, I heard about crazy fans shooting pics of Carrie running down the street in a wedding dress.

Can't wait for the next movie. But I hope they leave Carrie and Mr. Big alone. Let them be happy for heaven's sakes. The last thing I want to see is a divorce between these two.
Seriously, Carrie and Big have been through enough... but if we know our two favorite neurotics, we know there'll be drama of some sort.
