'Sex and the City' prequel 'The Carrie Diaries' books Carrie Bradshaw's sister

"The Carrie Diaries" is easily one of the most highly-anticipated pilots currently on The CW's upcoming fall slate, and we just found out who one of the young stars will be for the "Sex and the City" prequel.

According to new report from Entertainment Weekly, 14-year old "Running Wilde" alum Stefania Owen has landed the role of Carrie Bradshaw's sister Dorrit in the project. Carrie's family life was something that was barely ever addressed on the HBO series, so from that standpoint there is a good bit of flexibility for the show to play with.

Really, what we are curious about here is just how long "Carrie Diaries" can even last -- after all, it takes place in high school and we know that Bradshaw moved to New York in her early twenties.
