Oakwood College in 1896 was started by the 7th Day Adventist. This is a church school and they have their major celebration on Saturdays, instead of Sundays. It is a private college, located on 1,185 acres in Huntsville, AL.

It is a private college that is located about 100 ,miles from Birmingham, AL. The town is small and there is an airport within 10 miles from the campus. The cost of attending the college should be checked as it has gone up in price. The cost would include room & board. The student has advantage over the larger colleges and universities, with the student and teacher ratio. They provide an extensive education in many fields. The diversity is unusual for the South and a small school. Again, you may want to write them and find out what is available in your area of interest and what scholarships are available.
