Dog owners and pet lovers the day is quickly approaching for your pets to let their guard down and wag their tails wildly while partaking in a fun filled day designed especially for them.
Sunday, April 7th from 1-5 pm, Friends of Fair Park will be hosting their seventh-annual Dog Bowl at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas. The 120 yard football field famously known for battle of the band events or rivalry football games will be pleasing our furry-tailed-wagging buddies by being renovated into an enormous, unleashed dog park.
Don’t worry owners; your Friends of Fair Park wouldn't let you miss out of the excitement. If you believe your pet/pets resembles your expressions or vice versa then the pet/owner contest is definitely something you don’t want to miss! Along with enjoying soothing music by Jazz bassist Bari Pearson your canine can test their skills with crafts and even pose for a pooch portrait.* Exhibits, trainers, vets and various vendors will be on site to answer questions that may come to mind as well as educate on the latest tips and trends for 2013. Also, Luv My Pet will be on site providing special prices on vaccinations and microchipping.
Also, don’t forget to visit the Woofstock “tail” gating zone outside of the Cotton Bowl if you’re looking for a new lovable pet to take home. Rescue groups and animal welfare organizations will have plenty on hand to adopt.
Before March 29th be sure to upload your family video of your pet doing a trick or something you just can’t stop laughing at on the Dog Bowl Facebook page. The video with the most Facebook likes and originality will play on the Cotton Bowl Jumbotron on April 7th. Please limit the amusement to under three minutes.
