Sevendust "Time Travelers & Bonfires"

Very few metal bands dare to stray from their original heavy, punchy sound that keeps the crowds fists in the air at their shows but Sevendust is not one of those bands. In the past, the guys of Sevendust have taken their musicianship to another level with their phenomenal acoustic shows and they are doing it once again! The highly anticipated acoustic album “Time travelers & Bonfires” will be released in April 2014. In November 2013, Sevendust partnered up with Pledgemusic for a direct -to-fan campaign to help with funding the new album. This campaign was set to last 130 days but thanks to the bands loyal family members, the bands goal was met over the very first weekend. Notice I did not use the word “fan”? Last time I spoke with front man Lajon Witherspoon, he made it clear to me that Sevendust does not have fans, they have family. Well, it goes to show, you can always count on family. Just how many family members does Sevendust have? Well, the exact number isn’t in, but with the bands official facebook page hitting 1 million LIKES this month, I am pretty sure it’s one BIG family! “Time travelers & Bonfires” will contain new material, as well as re-recorded masterpieces such as “Black”, “Denial”, “Trust” and “Gone”. The last time the guys took their music to the acoustic side was in 2004 with the release of a live acoustic album “South Side Double Wide”. Sevendust has a very artistic way of re-writing their already incredible songs in acoustic form so “Time Travelers & Bonfires” will without a doubt be a truly great album. The Atlanta based band consists of Lajon Witherspoon (vocals), Morgan Rose (drums/vocals), Clint Lowery (guitar/vocals), John Connolly (guitar/vocals) and Vince Hornsby (bass/vocals). In a time where music is constantly changing, these five guys will never let their family down. To promote “Time Travelers & Bonefires”, Sevendust will be swinging through St. Louis, MO where their loyal family members can spend “An Evening with Sevendust” at POPs in Sauget, Illinois on Tue, May 27th. This is one acoustic show that you do not want to miss!
