Thank You to Lajon Witherspoon , of Sevendust, who took his time to share some great stories and information about the highly anticipated release of BLACK OUT THE SUN, and the current tour information, first hand.
Sevendust will be performing at The Rave in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with popular female fronted band, Lacuna Coil, Coal Chamber out of Los Angeles, and opening band, Candlelight Red. The Milwaukee Rock Music Examiner will be there front and center, camera in hand , and ready to rock and review.
Yesterday , Lajon Witherspoon called us, a half of an hour earlier than the scheduled time. I was impressed. I deal with rock stars everyday and some days, it is like pulling teeth to get connected.
Lajon's southern charm was apparent by the first Thank You's and Yes Ma' am, after almost every question.
I was Skype side with my team Ross Rochelle and Sixx65roxx, in awe of Lajon's Witherspoon's articulate speech and enjoying the insight Lajon was sharing about the band he forefronts, Sevendust, out of Atlanta, GA.
When I spoke to Lajon, he was calling from New Mexico. Lajon shared that it was the first time Sevendust was there, and it was a beautiful place to be. The band was scheduled to play that night. (March 19th) Sure to perform popular fan favorites and new tracks , such as Decay and Mountain off of Sevendust's 9th studio album, Black Out The Sun.
Black Out The Sun is one of the most highly anticipated albums to be released in 2013.
See the video of the interview here-Lajon Witherspoon discusses his musical influence, his father, and also shares the joy of having Clint Lowery's Return to the band. Lajon also discusses his love for the historical venue, The Rave in Milwaukee, WI.
