Seven pounder breaks tie in Stockton Bass Club event (Photos)

Twenty-six boats blasted on to the Delta on the last Sunday in February in search of big fish for the Stockton Bass Club's first event of 2013. At the end of the single-day, team tournament Mark Daniels Jr. and Kevin Arbet stood alone in the winner's circle with a five fish limit of 22.1. The decision was made by a tie-breaking big fish that tipped the scales at 7.6. "The Delta's not wide open, like people are thinking after yesterday's ABA," stated Daniels. He also reported getting most of their fish on a green pumpkin chatterbait.

The runner-up team of Doug Arlin and Dan Fonbuena also landed a limit of 22.1; however their kicker went 6-lbs even, putting them in the second place position. "We got bit all day; but got the big one this morning," revealed Arlin.

The top trio was completed by Lamaj Plaza and Ron Berg with their sack of 19.14, anchored by an 8.13. Their big one bit a jig.

Big fish of the event was a 9.1 by the team of Rossetti and Rossetti. Lorenzo added a 9.1 to the Rossetti's bag that earned the Big Bass trophy and rocketed their weight to 14.1, earning them a 5th place finish. the nine-lbr ate a black and blue Revenge jig.
