Seven Eagles Lost Arts Festival brings Ohio history alive

Here's your chance to experience what life was like from 1600-1840 in Northwest Ohio when you attend the annual Seven Eagles Lost Arts Festival being held at the Seven Eagles Historical Education Center in Grand Rapids, Ohio on Saturday, May 17 and Sunday, May 18. It is approximately a 2 hour drive from Cleveland to Grand Rapids.

Seven Eagles Lost Arts Festival The Festival will be offering traditional arts, music, crafts, entertainment, military demonstrations and examples of camp life for visitors to experience. Celebrating the history of early Ohio and the frontier of the Maumee River Valley, guests will be greeted by historical interpreters in authentic costumes.

Visitors will be able to tour a Woodland Indian longhouse and village, a French trader's sod hut, a pioneer log house, a blacksmith shop, Western Plains tipis, an 18th century trading post, a Scottish tavern and more than 50 other period encampments.

There will be historical craft demonstrations provided by traditional artists highlighting daily life and skills including basket weaving, silversmithing, leather tanning, woodcarving, lace making, blacksmithing, spinning and tinsmithing.

Traditional foods and beverages will be available for purchase.

Hours for the Lost Arts Festival are 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 17 and 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 18. Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for seniors and children (12-17). Children 11 and under are free. parking is free.
