According to a Splitsider article published today, November 4, 2013, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s production company, Point Grey, is currently working with the legendary producer Scott Rudin (“No Country for Old Men,” “The Truman Show,” “The Social Network,” “There Will be Blood”) to produce a film featuring the popular “Workaholics” stars Anders Holm, Adam DeVine and Blake Anderson.
Although the film is entirely unrelated to the popular television series, the script will be penned by star Anders Holm and will be directed by the show’s co-creator Kyle Newachack.
Not much is known about the film yet, but in an interview with Splitsider DeVine said:
Yeah, we’ve written a script that we’re working on right now. We have Seth Rogen and Scott Rudin helping us produce it with Evan Goldberg, Seth’s writing partner. We’re hoping to take that on in the next few weeks and setting it up and trying to shoot that this next year. So we’re really excited. It’s a big action-comedy. It’s not aWorkaholics movie, but it is starring the three of us. So we’re kind of looking at a Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder situation, where they play different characters, but they were in 50 movies together.
In the meantime, fans of “Workaholics” can prepare for the upcoming fourth season of the show, which is set to air on Comedy Central this coming January. Fans of Goldberg and Rogen can get ready for a number of hits including “Sausage Party,” “A Christmas Stoner Movie” and an untitled animated comedy on FX.
