Today, ABC released another hilarious TV spot for their upcoming telecast of the Academy Awards, this one involving an old horror classic, "Psycho".
Seth MacFarlane will be handling hosting duties this year, and the masterful showman behind "Family Guy", "American Dad", and "Ted" has already starred in many funny TV spots to promote the 85th Academy Awards, but this latest one has a great vintage touch as he sits in the room opposite the place where the infamous shower scene is taking place, which is clearly too loud and is disrupting his peace and quiet. Just watch it!
A man as well-versed in pop culture as Seth MacFarlane should make for a very entertaining Oscar night. And while this writer is saddened (but not surprised) by the lack of recognition for anything from the horror genre, there is still plenty of intrigue and controversy building up for this event.
We'll see both the oldest-ever and the youngest-ever Best Actress nominees face off, and we'll find out who will win Best Director now that Kathryn Bigelow and Ben Affleck have been surprisingly snubbed, although both of their films have been highly acclaimed.
The 85th Academy Awards will air live on Feb. 24, 7 p.m. on ABC, don't miss it!
