According to multiple reports Saturday, guard Seth Curry of the Santa Cruz Warriors - Golden State's D-League affiliate - has signed with the Memphis Grizzlies after working out for them last week although the deal has not been officially announced yet.
The undrafted Duke product averaged 21.3 points and 7.8 assists per game for Santa Cruz this season after spending training camp with Golden State and attended Saturday's game against the Lakers.
Curry is the son of former NBA sharpshooter Dell Curry - who initially reported the signing - and the younger brother of Warriors star Stephen Curry who told Examiner.com following the Warriors win over the Lakers:
I'm very proud, it's a big opportunity for him to establish himself and hopefully stick at this level. I know he's got what it takes. He can learn on the go and provide them with some scoring. It'll be weird to see him on the scouting reports. I'm looking forward to it."
Seth Curry averaged 17.5 points at Duke last season and shot 43.8 percent from beyond the arc while playing with a right shin stress fracture that dampened his draft status and kept from participating in the NBA Summer League.
