Set photo surfaces from Marvel's 'S.H.I.E.L.D.' TV show

Joss Whedon’s pilot episode for S.H.I.E.L.D. officially began filming last month, kicking off Marvel's attempt to bring their established Cinematic Universe to the small screen. Fans couldn't be more excited for the studio's foray into television, and while the network has yet to greenlight the series beyond the pilot, ABC studio execs are clearly very confident that the show will find its legs right out of the gate and move forward with additional episodes. The fact that Joss Whedon has agreed to direct and co-write the pilot with his brother Jed practically cements the feeling there's really very little chance for a flop to arrive when the show (fingers crossed) makes its way to living rooms in the Fall.

In an attempt to keep fans in the loop, writer and executive producer Maurissa Tancharoen recently tweeted a behind-the-scenes photo from the set of the show, revealing a sign that would only be commonplace in an agency such as S.H.I.E.L.D.. Fans can also keep abreast of all new behind-the-scenes info on the official S.H.I.E.L.D. Facebook page and Twitter account.

Set after the events of The Avengers movie, the show will star Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson, Ming-Na We as Agent Melinda May, Brett Dalton as Agent Grant Ward, Iain De Caestecker as Agent Leo Fitz, Elizabeth Henstridge as Agent Gemma Simmons, and Chloe Bennet as Skye.
