Sesame Street Live "Can't Stop Singing" is in Oklahoma City this week and it is a great time with the kids. On March 16, News OK reported this is one of the best things to do in Oklahoma City this weekend.
Last night I got the chance to take my kids to the performance. I didn't realize there was a Thunder game as well so traffic was really bad to get there, but if you are going this weekend you should be fine. There are a ton of places to park and we only paid $5 for our spot.
This show was amazing! The kids had a great time. "Can't Stop Singing" is all about Abby Cadabby losing her wand. Elmo has it and causes a spell that makes everyone sing instead of talking! The characters take you on a journey as Abby tries to find out what happened and get her wand back. The characters sing, dance, and perform a magical show for the children. This was one of the best kids shows we have ever seen! It was was perfect for my 4-year-old. My other daughter is 9 and of course wouldn't admit she enjoyed it, but she was clapping along and enjoying the show. It is geared more towards younger children.
There was a short 15 minute intermission in the middle where I took the kids to play in the Play Zone area. You can read more about it in this article.
They did have concession stands and also small booths to buy items for the kids. In comparison to other shows I have been to, I felt like the prices were really good. My children both bought a toy and it didn't break the bank.
