A grocery chain that is as well known for its high quality service as its fresh food selections will soon be coming to Atlanta. Sprouts has announced plans to open stores in the Atlanta area, in four separate locations during 2014. The grocery retailer also plans to expand its presence in nearby North Carolina, Alabama and Florida.
Currently, Sprouts has seen significant success in the following states: Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Nevada, California and Oklahoma. As the company is poised to expand its presence to other areas of the United States, it appears to have focused these first efforts in the Southeastern region. The expansion into Atlanta will provide more than 500 jobs and a new option in grocery shopping and food selection to Atlanta-area residents.
Commitment to Customer Service, Competitive Prices
Sprouts is touted as a natural grocer, bringing organic and natural food selections to the grocery market at competitive prices. The stores are fully stocked with meat and dairy departments, a wide selection of frozen foods and fresh produce. Sprouts also features aisles of natural beauty products, vitamin and herbal supplementation and household items.
Sprouts has become known for its bright, clean stores that create a pleasant environment for shoppers. The stores feature an extensive selection of fresh produce at surprisingly low prices. Customers on special diets can find plenty of selections free of gluten, dairy or other potential allergens, as well as organic dairy and meat products.
Large bins in the center of the store allow shoppers to scoop their own trail mix, nuts and granola. Coffee samples are often available, and aromas waft from the natural bakery at the front of the store. Employees are generally friendly and helpful, creating an overall positive shopping experience.
Locations to See New Grocer
Now, Sprouts will bring their commitment to healthy food and high quality service to Atlanta. The first store will open this spring at The Shoppes at Webb Gin. Talks are also underway to open another store at Peachtree Corners Place and a third store may become the anchor for the Sandy Springs Gateway Project. Additional Georgia cities that could see their own Sprouts additions include Duluth, Johns Creek and Alpharetta.
The first Sprouts stores to open in Atlanta will be serviced by a distribution center in Texas. However, if the expansion into the Georgia market is successful, the company hopes to eventually open a distribution center in the state. This move could bring even more jobs to the Atlanta area in the future.
Sprouts has taken the grocery industry by storm, offering specialty foods that cater to a wider market share. As a company that understands how to listen to the customer, this grocer is regularly expanding selections based on customer requests. The company also knows the importance of providing a welcoming environment for shoppers where they enjoy spending time.
As Sprouts continues to expand their presence across the United States, perhaps this grocer will inspire other chains to raise the customer service bar that benefits all grocery consumers.
