In observance of Epilepsy Awareness Day, U Good Dog Service Dog Training in conjunction with the National Seizure Disorders Foundation is hosting a presentation on November 6 at Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt in Manhattan, Kansas. At 7:00 PM, Dodger, a VNS Seizure and Alert Response service dog will be presented to his new handler, Ashley Peitz. Ashley is a 19 year old with epilepsy. Dodger, a rescue dog, was trained specifically to mitigate her seizures and alert Ashley and her family to seizures before they happen.

Orange Leaf has agreed to support the National Seizure Disorders Foundation between 5:00 and 10:00 PM by donating 10% of the profit from sales for customers who mention Dodger’s name as they order and pay. The NSDF seeks to get more service dogs to seizure survivors like Ashley, and is working with U Good Dog to train a another rescue dog, Disney, for a 6 year old boy named Gavin. UGD will also have some other trained service dogs at Orange Leaf for a meet and greet the night of the event.

Epilepsy Awareness Day is November 7; celebrated at Disneyland with the NSDF as the benefactor. November is also National Epilepsy Awareness month.
