The Daily News reported a story about what happens to a dog on meth. Natalie Lowry, told WALB News that Sticks, her Chihuahua, found a stash of meth at a La Quinta Inn in Northern Phoenix. She said Sticks began shaking, having tremors and running erratically.
Concerned for Stick’s safety, Lowry rushed her dog to an emergency veterinarian. Poor Sticks tested positive for being on crank.
Sticks is a registered psychiatric service dog.
Lowery decided to leave the hotel and go elsewhere. She said she wouldn’t stay in a hotel with methamphetamine in the room. A search under the bed turned up a metal bar and trash. Lowry also said the chain would have taken the complaint more seriously had a child found the drugs. The LaQuinta chain is investigating the situation. The article stated that Sticks recovered from her drug meltdown. Read more about this story at the Daily News website or WALB.com.
