Dessert can be simple and healthy too. It doesn’t take much time to wash, slice and fill some glasses with all the family’s favorite flavors. Each individual fruit cup can be made special for every member in the house. This may be the only time that making separate dishes won’t be a chore.
Depending upon what type of glasses or dishes you use will change the setting of the dessert when placed on the table. For a more elegant dinner dessert put the fruit in wine glasses. For children a small juice glass or plastic cup could easily do the trick. If you want to keep things on a low key just use small dessert bowls or plates.
Fruits you may want to slice and add to the fruit cups:
- Honey Dew melon
- Just rinse under cold water the fruits that need it. Peel or remove rind on others.
- Then slice them all up and layer in glasses or bowls.
- Top with blueberries, grapes and some whipped cream.
- Serve chilled.
Have a healthy dessert tonight and ensure your family gets a serving of fruit too!
