Serra varsity crew team beats Saint Ignatius

Members of the varsity crew team beat Saint Ignatius over the weekend at the Pacific Invitational at Lake Merced. The Padres placed third out of seven and defeated SI's boat with an exceptional time of 4.39. This accomplishment broke school records.

"This was the first time I've seen our varsity eight race like that," said Head Crew Coach Adam Jones. "These guys are great competitors, and now they are more motivated than ever."

Celebrating in the eight-man boat were Coxswain Brendan Walsh, Gavin Boyd-Goodrich, Ryan Lowenstein, Matt Bruton, Leilua Lualemaga, Nick Gennaro, Jake Sanders, Garrett Johnson and Alex Kost.
