A multiple vehicle accident in Henry County in Georgia caused Interstate 75 southbound to close for awhile on Tuesday evening, Dec. 3. Police and crews labored to get all the debris cleaned up and restore the accident scene to normalcy. Within a little more than an hour and more quickly than originally thought, they had managed to reopen the road.

The incident occurred just south of George 138 junction in Henry County.

According to Henry County Police, a loaded car hauler flipped and overturned on the highway. Several of the cars became detached and were strewn across the road. Also getting involved in the accident was a truck with a loaded horse trailer and another vehicle.

According to 11-Alive photojournalist Tyson Paul, “there was at least one horse walking in the median of the roadway near the accident.” At this writing, it is assumed that no horses were injured during this accident.

Aside from being shaken up, there were no human injuries.
