Super Bowl Sunday looks right now like it is going to be the nicest day of the week. Skies will be clearing early and there will be plenty of sun above. Temperatures however are going to remain almost 15 degrees below normal as highs today top out around 32 degrees.

Clouds will be increasing this evening and continue to do so overnight into Monday morning. Tomorrow’s high temperature will be around 29 degrees.

Snow is expected to develop by Monday evening and there will be chances of the white stuff throughout the balance of the week.

The best chances for Monday night and Tuesday will be in the foothills and Palmer Divide but many locations will see light snowfall as well. Accumulations from 2 to 4 inches will be possible.

Periods of snow will be possible each day through the week and into the weekend. Chances for widespread snow appear to be better with a system set to arrive late in the week.

The city of Denver is preparing to hold a parade for the Denver Broncos on Tuesday should they win Super Bowl XLVIII today. Current indications are such an event would be a cold and possibly snowy affair.

High temperatures, if you want to call them that, on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are going to remain extraordinarily cold and top out only in the teens. Friday and Saturday will see some warming to the low to mid-20s.

Overnight low temperature readings down into the single digits, possibly below zero in some locations, will be on tap from Wednesday through Friday.
