Series finale postponed

The final game of Binghamton’s season-opening, seven-game road trip was postponed due to wet weather in Erie Wednesday afternoon. The contest will be made up as part of a doubleheader at Jerry Uht Park June 28 at 6:05 PM. The teams will play two seven-inning contests.

Wednesday’s rainout marks the first postponement of the season for Binghamton (2-4). The B-Mets had six postponements in the 2010 season, but still managed to play the entire 142-game Eastern League schedule.

The B-Mets return to Binghamton for the team’s home opener Thursday at 6:35 p.m. against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats. LHP Mark Cohoon (0-0, 1.80) will take the ball against RHP B.J. LaMura (1-0, 0.00) of New Hampshire.
