From a small distillery in California, this unaged rum made in a pot still from pure Hawaiian molasses presents a surprisingly woody flavor profile with hints of vanilla and caramel, honey, brown spices and dried fruits.

From the Essential Spirits Alambic Distillery of Mountain View, Sergeant Classic produces both gold and white rums in their copper Alambic still. The rum distiller is made of 21 layered plates, as the liquid boils, alcohol evaporates and rises to the upper plates whereas the residual liquid is gathered in the lower plates to be eliminated.
Sergeant Classick gold rum is infused with oak flavor to bring out the most desirable qualities of the distillate.
The Sgt. Classick products have been distinguished by winning awards in numerous competitions, a notable feat for a young distiller. The team includes Dave Classick, Sr, master distiller; Andrea Mirenda, president; Dave Classick, Jr, distiller and information technology guru; and Audrey Classick, brand ambassador.
Essential Spirits is well known for their Pear Brandy, Bierschnaps and Grappa di Cabernet.
