Serena Williams has defeated Justine Henin 6-4. 3-6, 6-2 in a 2 hour entertaining match . With this win, Serena officially surpasses $30 million in career prize money and has added Grand Slam number 12.

In only her 11th match since her comeback from retirement, Justine has played some impressive tennis. Her mind well trained to react to her opponents, her body taking some time to recover.

Over all Henin has been very pleased with her tennis and has proved to the tour that she is here to compete and win. "It's been a very emotional two weeks for me,"said Henin. I thought it would never happen to me again.

Its been said about Serena Williams, that her time has come, that she peeked and now other players are stepping up to the plate to over take her position. Over the last few years, some have succeeded and many have failed. She remains one of the best aggressive players that has ever played womens tennis. Her emotions are a necessary evil for a sport that needs excitement.

Serena has much to prove still and has the desire and commitment to win Slams. Tiger Woods has said, and many will agree, "People will remember you for the Majors won." Pete Sampras has said the same. Pete elevated his game in majors and it showed in his results. Serena has been able to elevate her game an extra notch when needed as it shows with 12 out of 15 Grand Slam finals victories won.

Serena is not going anywhere anytime soon and it will be exciting to see how she does the rest of the year. This has been a remarkable 2010 Australian Open.
