Sequester, a tiny drop in the bucket

Last year the Republican House acted twice to fix the sequester H.R. 6684 and H.R. 5652, the Democrat Senate have failed to consider or offer any solutions of their own. Reid insist that the House has done nothing when in fact the Senate have been the ones holding out because the House will not do what they or the White House wants - raise taxes without cutting spending.

The sequester was put on the table back in 2011, a Obama plan to force lawmakers to find other ways to reduce the government deficit, yet in all this time only the House has managed to put forth two bills to fix the problem. Instead of Obama traveling around and sprouting off bombastic speeches he should be in Washington and working on a solution for his spending problems which he intends to increase no matter what is done after the sequester deadline of March 1, 2013.

Americans have already experienced a cut to their paycheck and are now dealing with the increases in taxes, food, clothing, gas to get somewhere and higher taxes and fees from State, County and City.

Everything that Obama preaches about now has been already seen and felt, the sequester is about 1% of the total federal expenditures and only about .25% of total U.S. GDP ( $44 billion) which means it would be a tiny drop in a bucket if it did go through since our current GDP is over $15.8 trillion.
