National Sewing Month officially runs from September 1st to September 30th each year. The proclamation was put into place in 1982 by President Ronald Reagan as he declared National Sewing Month “In recognition of the importance of home sewing to our Nation.”
The month is designed to indulge your passion for all things sewing and possibly introduce yourself to a new craft that you may have never tried before.
