August was a torrid month in the MMA world. There was a huge event just about every weekend and fans may have actually gotten a bit spoiled. September is going to see things slow down a bit, but there are still some events that will hold interest for serious fans of the sport. The 12th season of "The Ultimate Fighter" will also be premiering, so do yourself a favor and spend the next couple of minutes perusing the following preview of all the action.

UFC Fight Night 22--September 15th: Kicking off a new season of "The Ultimate Fighter," the next Fight Night should do a nice job of getting fans warmed up for the popular reality show. Nate Marquardt will face Rousimar Palhares in a middleweight main event, but the card also features Efrain Escudero vs. Matt Wiman and Cole Miller vs. Ross Pearson. It should make for a very enjoyable Wednesday evening.

DREAM 16--September 25th: The full fight card hasn't been confirmed yet, but the next DREAM event is already scheduled to put some big names on your TV screen, provided you have HDNet. Kazushi Sakuraba will face Jason "Mayhem" Miller in the main event. Joe Warren will return to the DREAM ring and Gegard Mousasi will have his first fight since losing his Strikeforce title to "King" Mo Lawal.

UFC 119--September 25th: The only big time pay-per-view of the month comes toward the end. Frank Mir will face Cro Cop in the main event. I'm actually more interested in the light heavyweight bout between Ryan Bader and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, though. That one should be very interesting. Matt Serra and Chris Lytle will face each other in an "Ultimate Fighter" re-match, plus Evan Dunham and Sean Sherk will square off in what should be an interesting lightweight bout.

WEC 51--September 30th: Just squeaking in before October is the WEC. I wouldn't have predicted Many Gamburyan getting a title shot, but his devastating knockout of Mike Brown has combined with Jose Aldo's decimation of the 145-pound division to make it so. Gamburyan is simply one of the only guys left for Aldo to abuse, so he gets that shot in the main event. Jamie Varner and Donald Cerrone will fight (again) on the card, plsu Miguel Torres, Leonard Garcia and Mike Brown will all be making appearances. The WEC is all about match making and little guys with big hearts, so this event should be a good one.
