According to reports from the National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC) and the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON), strange activity in the skies over southern Ontario continued to amaze sky watchers as September 2013 arrived.
On September 1 at approximately 3 a.m., a Toronto resident spotted a “bright white light” over the east end of the city. A NUFORC report notes that a man was walking his dog in a local park when he noticed the light, which “moved higher in altitude but then it stopped.”
The witness wrote, “The light was brighter than any other star in the sky but to the average person, it can easily be mistaken for a star.”
He had a flashlight, which he turned on and off three times and then “noticed it start moving a little…” It then seemed to move toward him “but still at a very slow pace.” It then stopped and hovered.
“It had to be a few thousand feet up in the air and about 10-20 km in distance from where I was. It had no blinking lights; it also didn't make a sound.”
Also on September 1 at about 9:50 p.m., an Ajax resident was driving south on Finley Avenue when a “triangular object” was seen. According to a NUFORC report the object was “low enough that we had to stop and back up to get a good look at it because houses and trees were blocking our view.”
The witness viewed the object for about one minute and noticed, “Each light on the craft faded one at a time starting with the front point. After that, we could not see the craft anymore.”
The witness believes that the object might have been hovering over the nuclear station in Pickering.
In the early morning hours of September 3, a resident of Barrhaven got up as usual to prepare a cup of tea when a very bright star captured his attention. According to a NUFORC report, the ‘star’ was “moving fast. It was coming from the west moving east and when it got over my house, it stop(ped) dead backed up and then it glowed super bright two times.”
The object then moved east again “in an S form (and) then went into deep space.” The entire sighting lasted approximately five minutes.
“What I saw is true,” the witness noted, “and well, it scared me.”
Blood Red UFO
Also on September 3 at about 9:05 p.m., a London resident was out walking in the south end of the city with her husband when a “star-like” object was seen.
According to a MUFON report, her husband directed her to look at the southwest area of the sky, where he first saw the light. It caught his attention, she said, “because it was so bright and the color was such a bright shade of red…” that changed “from red to orange several times as it “pulsated.” It then changed from “bright blood red to bright purple or violet.”
The witness noted that lights like that are never seen on planes. She added that there was also a jet in the sky.
“Then it did a slow U-turn to travel back in the same direction it had come. At this point, we lost sight of it as it went behind some trees… I don't know what to think. Strangest thing I think I've ever witnessed as a mysterious light in the sky.”
On September 4 at approximately 8:02 p.m., a resident of Sault Ste. Marie spotted “stationary, multicolored, circular moving lights.” According to a NUFORC report, a woman was preparing to go to bed and glanced out a bedroom window.
“I was shocked to see a bright red, green, blue, white-type of circular object high in the sky.”
Although it appeared far away, she noted that it was “low enough in the sky for me to observe these lights moving in a circular motion, giving the impression of a round-shaped craft.”
After watching the object for a few minutes, she realized that it was not moving.
“Within a few minutes my husband returned home and I screamed for him to come and see the object. At that very moment, another object appeared in the sky below the multicolored one but it appeared to be a star.” However she added that the smaller light rose up toward the big one eventually appearing over it.
“Then the star-type object started to display the same circular flashing multicolored lights.”
The sighting lasted for about five minutes when the objects “faded away.”
A cigar-shaped UFO was seen over Ontario in September 2013. The witness stated that it flew “side ways going up and down, and without taking a clear direction – very confused.” To see the video, go HERE.
