September Free Paddling Event for People with Disabilities

Minneapolis-based Wilderness Inquiry brings outdoor experiences to people with disabilities.  Join  Wilderness Inquiry, Saturday, Sept. 12, from 9 a.m. to noon, for a free morning paddle and introduction to WI's Gateway to Adventure Program! The event is a partnership with the Brain Injury Association of Minnesota and other cooperating agencies. Meet at Thomas Beach on Lake Calhoun in Minneapolis.

Registration deadline: Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2009.

This is a great opportunity to learn outdoor skills, develop social skills, participate in inclusive activities, meet new friends, but most of all ... have fun!

WI's materials note that participants weighing more than 180 pounds or who require significant assistance with mobility, as well as participants using respirators, may not be able to participate.

For more information and to register visit Wilderness Inquiry.
