The fall television season is officially upon us, and that means a lot of television to choose from every night. Whether you're one of the lone few who still watch live, or you just need to know what's worth DVRing with limited space there, LA TV Insider Examiner is not merely letting you know what shows will deliver new episodes on any given night but rather what is worth watching.
These are our recommendations for primetime Sunday, September 22 2013.
65th Annual Primetime Emmys (CBS, 8 p.m. - 5 p.m. local time) - Neil Patrick Harris hosts live from Los Angeles' own Nokia Theatre, with a special performance by Elton John. Expect the eye network to bombard you with promos and presenters from its fall line-up, but who will take home the coveted gold? American Horror Story: Asylum and Game of Thrones leadd with most nominations; do you like their odds?
Breaking Bad (AMC, 9 p.m.) - "Granite State" - Events from long ago move forward toward a dramatic conclusion.
Dexter (SHO, 9 p.m.) - "Remember The Monsters?" - On the series finale, a hurricane threatens Miami, while Dexter (Michael C. Hall) is determined to end things his way.
Low Winter Sun (AMC, 10 p.m.) - "There Was A Girl" - The DPD catches a break on the McCann case, while Damon (James Ransone) and Maya's (Sprague Grayden) freedom is threatened, and Geddes (Lenny James) and Frank (Mark Strong) confront each other.
Ray Donovan (SHO, 10 p.m.) - "Same Exactly" - On the first season finale, Ray (Liev Schreiber) and Avi (Steven Bauer) find Eddie (Robert Brewer) on the run with Sully's money, while Mickey (Jon Voight) gets kicked out of Bunchy's (Dash Mihok) apartment, and Abby (Paula Macolmson) and the kids hide out at a Malibu hotel. Later, Ray puts out the word that America's Most Wanted is in Santa Monica, and Ezra (Elliot Gould) proposes.
Which will you watch??
