Sara Biria, Sephora PRO Lead makeup artist who headed the backstage makeup team at the DL 1961 Fall 2013 Fashion Show, shared her inside scoop on the makeup look. It's super inspired by chic rocker gothic look with lots of grey tones, perfect for the fall. For the eyes, Stila In The Know Eye Shadow Palette, was used to work with grey tones to create a natural smokey texture and shape on the eyes. For the face, Laura Mercier's Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20YSL Touche Eclat was used to highlight the contours of the face and illuminate the complexion, applying a brightening concealer above and around the eyes. For the lips, Make Up For Ever rouge Artist Lipstick in N1 Iridescent Nude was applied to finish off the soft look. Check out Sara at work backstage for the DL 1961 Fall 2013 Fashion show here.
It was a rainy day, so Sara offered some of her professional eye makeup tips, so eyes can look flawless even on a cold, rainy, winter day. Per Sara, be sure to use waterproof eye pencil and waterproof mascara. It's a must to use setting powder underneath the eyes and on top of the eyes to hold eye makeup and prevent it from creasing and running.
To create the face, Sephora PRO Lead Sara Biria and Sephora PRO used the following products on the models:
