When considering The Seven Project, we have to think what we have accomplished in our youth's education. Why and how could The Seven Project help. Read on to learn some hard-facts about where we stand.

"Separation of Church and State" or to interpret, "Separation of Americans' conscious and federal-driven anti-God beliefs."
Many cry "separation of church and state" when someone tries to speak of education and religious beliefs at the same time. However, they never realize or are taught the entire story behind this phrase.
What many people do not realize is that the term "separation of church and state" which was said by Thomas Jefferson was made to protect Americans against a country-wide church control. This type of control was what the Pilgrims and many others traveled to the "new world" to escape and raise their children as they saw fit.
"...I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should 'make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof,' thus building a wall of separation between Church and State." (Thomas Jefferson)
Jefferson reflected his frequent speaking theme that the government is not to interfere with religion. However, people have used this phrase to interfere with the religious Christian freedom.
They have endeavored, and sometimes succeeded, in prohibiting students from publicly demonstrating their beliefs in schools. Yet, others, such as atheists and Muslims, are given full consideration for their religious beliefs and customs.
When the public school system was first started, students used to get off at noon on Wednesdays to go to Bible school. Well, Wednesdays still come; students still are released early; but churches have become lackluster and lazy in following up on this opportunity and moving from their comfort zones.
"If you can induce a community to doubt the genuineness and authenticity of the Scriptures; to question the reality and obligations of religion; to hesitate, undeciding, whether there be any such thing as virtue or vice; whether there be an eternal state of retribution beyond the grave; or whether there exists any such being as God, you have broken down the barriers of moral virtue, and hoisted the flood gates of immorality and crime." (William McGuffey, 1854)
If any know who William McGuffey was, he was a clergyman and an educator who cared about students and their education. More than 122 million copies of his book, McGuffey Readers, were sold between 1836 and 1960 making it on par with the Bible and the Webster's Dictionary. His book was strong to help young students learn how to read but also gave them moralistic values based on the Bible that lasted their entire lives.
One of McGuffey's more famous quotations was:
"The Christian religion, is the religion of our country. From it are derived our prevalent notions of the character of God, the great moral governor of the universe. On its doctrines are founded the peculiarities of our free institutions."
McGuffey cared about students' future and about the future of America. He loved God and realized that if American students are not subjected to the Christian religion, there would be chaos in our country.
After nearly 60 years of initiating anti-Christian values in our public schools, what have we to show for our country's educational system and the adults that have come about? Total crime rate has increased including murder, rape, and aggravated assault. High school drop outs have increased to one-in-three-students per year. The trend in teenage pregnancies have increased since 1960 although down somewhat since 2008.
"Each year, almost 750,000 U.S. women aged 15–19 become pregnant. Two-thirds of all teen pregnancies occur among 18–19-year-olds." (Facts on American Teens' Sexual and Reproductive Health, 2012)
Nearly one-in-three American children live without fathers - especially their biological fathers. Men, whose mentality refuses to develop past the age of the "gimme" generation, leave girls and women who are pregnant or pressure for an abortion.
"The number of children living apart from their fathers has more than doubled in the last fifty years, from 11 percent in 1960 to 27 percent in 2010." (Nearly One in Three American Children Live Without A Father, June 2011)
Adult illiteracy has a horrible rate of 14 percent!
"Statistics released by the U.S. Education Department this week show that some 32 million U.S. adults lack basic prose literacy skill." (14 Percent of U.S. Adults Can't Read, Jan. 2009)
So, in endeavoring to destroy the Christian belief in our country, the leaders and influential individuals have destroyed much of the Americans' conscious, Americans' care about others, and Americans' care and respect about themselves. They have, instead, taught the doctrines of Darwinism to believe, "we are just another animal" and "only the fit survive."
In other words, the governmental and influential leaders have helped to raise up six decades of individuals who care more for "if it feels good, do it," and less of individuals who take responsibility for their own actions - be it good or bad.
So what does the Bible say about teaching children?
"All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work." (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
Americans also do not realize that our oldest and outstanding universities were started by Christians and men of faith.
"All but two of the first 108 universities founded in America were Christian. This includes the first, Harvard, where the student handbook listed this as Rule #1: 'Let every student be plainly instructed and earnestly pressed to consider well, the main end of his life and studies is to know God and Jesus Christ, which is eternal life, John 17:3; and therefore to lay Jesus Christ as the only foundation for our children to follow the moral principles of the Ten Commandments.'
"In 1777. Continental Congress voted to spend $300,000 to purchase bibles which were to be distributed throughout the 13 colonies! And in 1782, the United States Congress declared, 'The Congress of the United States recommends and approves the Holy Bible for use in all schools.'" (Christianity and America)
Today Christians are harassed and jailed if students hold prayer gatherings on school grounds; however, one local university recently welcomed a Hindu religious ceremony promoted by a professor!
So, let's remember what William McGuffey said as a warning and prophecy for America if we lost sight of God in our lives.
"I need not say that when a people have once done this (hoisted the flood gates of immorality and crime), they can no longer exist as a tranquil and happy people. Every bond that holds society together would be ruptured; fraud and treachery would take the place of confidence between man and man; the tribunals of justice would be scenes of bribery and injustice; avarice, perjury, ambition, and revenge would walk through the land, and render it more like the dwelling of savage beasts than the tranquil abode of civilized and Christianized men."
What is America today? Were McGuffey's words prophetic on what is represented as our country that stated in the beginning, "In God we trust"? How much longer will a nation that was endowed by favors from God in the beginning continue with its corruption and disregard for all that is decent and moral?
