AMC teams up with the Autism Society of America to bring Houston a series of ‘Sensory Friendly Films’ intended for children, teens, and adults with sensory challenges. The movies are appropriate for those with Autism or other sensory processing disorders who want to enjoy movies but are often held back by the traditional movie setting. The theater will still dim the lights, but the sound is kept lower volume, and audience members are welcome to ‘get up and dance, walk, shout or sing.’

In the Houston area, three AMC theatres participate in the sensory friendly film series:

The sensory friendly films are offered Saturday mornings at 10 a.m.
