Sensory-friendly film coming to Durham

Mariposa School bringing sensory-friendly Cars 2 to the Triangle

The Mariposa School is presenting a sensory-friendly showing of Cars 2 on Saturday, June 25 at 10 am. The sensory-friendly format is intended to allow families with members on the spectrum to comfortably go to the movies. The theater lights are left on, the sound is turned down some, and moviegoers are welcome to walk around, move, dance or make noise.

The sequel to the 2006 hit "Cars", "Cars 2: World Grand Prix" is set to be released June 24 -- one day before the Durham sensory-friendly showing at the Brier Creek Stadium 14 in Durham. Tickets are $6.50 each, and can be purchased and picked up at Mariposa School.
