Senioritis: What a tempting trap!

See also

You are a senior in high school and you just have one more semester! Congratulations! You have good grades, you have been working part time to save for college, and you have completed some community service to help you get those scholarships.

But it's your last semester and you have worked so hard, will it really matter if you relax a little bit?

It might! You want to finish strong your last semester of high school so you still have a good GPA going to college. The last thing you want is to let that GPA slip to the point you have to take a non-credit class to make up some work. You also don't want to get in the habit of not doing your best! College will take more work than high school, so instead of relaxing now, keep going so you keep your good study habits.

A second reason to avoid senioritis? Colleges do change their minds and you don't want to lose those scholarships, or lose your admission status.

Yes, you have one more semester of college, but don't slack off! Do your best, and maybe, just maybe you can raise your GPA or get a higher score on admissions tests and be awarded even more scholarship money.
