Saturday, February 2 will bring together eighteen rescue and shelter organizations in the Las Vegas area for a day filled with fun and hopefully new families.
Senior Spaniel Rescue is a 501© 3 that devotes their efforts to finding loving homes for senior Springer Spaniels. Their second annual “Find a Furry Friend” event will be held at the Pro Bass Shops at the Silverton in the front parking lot. The event runs from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm and admission is free.
There will be many vendors and booths and you can bring your dogs.
Stop by to meet dogs, cats, miniature horses and yes, pigs, that are all looking for forever homes.
The MC/Mistress of Ceremonies will be Kat Ray and there is a full schedule of presentations.
I will be speaking about the “Healing Power of Pets and Animal Assisted Therapy” at 1:00 PM in the stage area.
I will have several Love Dog teams with me so please come join us as we celebrate senior dogs and the amazing gift they bring to a family. Some of the greatest therapy dogs began their careers in their later years. When the thrill of the chase or jumping for frisbees has lessened, they are ready for a different job and still have many years to give to their community.
