The following article is part of an ongoing effort to help homeless dogs in and around Toronto/Hamilton area find suitable and loving homes. Currently, the need is great but the homes are few. Your help is desperately needed.
Despite her previously terrible life Sophie, who is just under a year old, is in good health. She has seen a veterinarian and is now spayed, up-to-date on her vaccinations, dewormed and micro-chipped. Due to her being a mixed breed, she could grow to be the size of a Lhasa Apso.
She gets along well with other dogs, has been crate trained and enjoys riding in the car. Like other dogs that come from puppy mills, Sophie enjoys being around other dogs so a home with them would be ideal. She will need some socialization and training. So far, she has shown a willingness to take direction from adults.
If you would like more information or wish to adopt Sophie, email email@example.com and put ‘Pet Inquiry: Sophie, a sweet girl PFId#24003696’ in the subject line. If you specifically would like to adopt or foster this dog, you will find an application HERE.
